It may
be a good idea to create a Disk Image for a drive containing deleted files
that you want to recover, if you have enough space on another drive.
To open the Disk Image:
-
Start Active@ File Recovery.
-
Run Open Image command by doing one of the following:
-
Click the Open Image button on toolbar
,
or
-
Right-click the drive or the Local System Root node. Click Open Image
on the context menu.
-
Click Open Image... menu item under File menu.
-
Select an existing Disk Image (file with DIM extension)
in the File Open dialog and click the Open
button.
-
Opened disk image will appear underneath Local System Root folder.
Another way to open a disk image is to locate the .DIM file directly
and execute the Open Image command from the context menu.
Work with an opened Disk Image the same way as with any regular drive or device,
i.e. scan, find and restore files from it.
